In 1967, Teton Homes ® company was formed to produce portable buildings for the petroleum industry and travel trailers for the recreational vehicle (RV) industry at its plant in Casper, Wyoming. Over the next 41 years, Teton portable buildings and travel trailers continued to evolve in design, refinement, and value. Teton became the gold standard in the industry with a reputation for high-end durable products.

In 2008, management, in conjunction with the FirstCity Crestone investment group, saw the opportunity to capitalize on Teton Home’s vast experience in portable buildings and remote workforce housing. Together they acquired the assets of Teton Homes and formed TetonBuildings, LLC with the vision and goal of expanding the product line worldwide.

TetonBuildingsIn 2009, TetonBuildings moved closer to accomplishing this vision by acquiring the assets of Porta-Kamp International, LP, a Houston, Texas based company. Porta-Kamp International had been engaged in the design, manufacture and installation of high quality housing for general commercial and consumer markets including remote workforce sites for the oilfield, mining and construction industries with business roots that can be traced back to 1955. Porta-Kamp International was recognized throughout the world as the premier provider of housing in extreme arctic and desert conditions. After the acquisition of Porta-Kamp International’s assets, TetonBuildings moved their corporate headquarters to Houston and now manufacturers in the same 260,000 sq ft manufacturing facility formerly used by Porta-Kamp International. Now with a 130,000 sq ft facility in Casper, Wyoming and a 270,000 sq ft facility in Houston, Texas, Teton is positioned to support all of North America along with the international business.

Today, TetonBuildings, LLC is recognized internationally as an industry leader in the design, manufacture, commissioning, and servicing of portable modular buildings and remote workforce camps. We provide complete “turnkey solutions” to our customers housing needs.
