Stuckey Farms Inc. is a family owned agricultural company involved in the commercial production of corn and soybeans in the Grafton, Nebraska area. The farm operates on a 50-50 rotation of the commodities planting 440 acres of corn and 440 acres of soybeans each year of which 345 acres of each is irrigated and the remainder non-irrigated cropland. The farm's total operation consists of 980 acres of land. The farm leases 80 acres from the Geneva Masonic Templecraft Association and 20 acres from Eunice Stuckey. The farm owns the other 880 acres 780 of which is in cropland, 60 acres of pastures that is leased out, and 40 acres of pond, waste land, building sites, and road right of ways. The farm is operated with no-till farming to prevent soil erosion and conserve water thus reducing field operations and irrigation needs. Irrigation is by 5 center pivots on 580 acres, and 110 acres of gravity irrigation that will be converted to drip irrigation for the 2013 season thus further reducing the need for water and enhancing crop efficiency. The crops can be stored on 110,000 bushels of on farm storage or marketed directly to the local co-op, Co-operative Producers Inc., in Grafton, Nebraska. Other marketing of soybeans is done with Farmers Co-operative of Dorchester, Nebraska. Financing is through Farm Credit Services out of Grand Island, and CNH financing for agricultural equipment. Banking is at the Geneva State Bank, Geneva, Nebraska. Operation and management is by employee directors of the company.
