Established in 1865, St. Luke's Home, Inc. is a non-profit charitable organization that maintains a volunteer driven mission to provide outreach and targeted services to seniors and veterans living in Middlesex County. St. Luke's owns âÂ?Â?St. Luke's ApartmentsâÂ?Â? on 144 Broad Street in Middletown, a 25 unit HUD subsidized building for the elderly and persons with disabilities. St. Luke's also operates a community based agency providing volunteer based programs doing business as âÂ?Â?St. Luke's Community ServicesâÂ?Â?. Our free services include Friendly Visitors and Grocery Shoppers, as well as VETS4VETS, whereby volunteers provide free transportation for medical appointments to out of area providers. St. Luke's manages the âÂ?Â?Access4CareâÂ?Â? and âÂ?Â?Access4FunâÂ?Â? transportation programs in partnership with Middlesex Hospital and the Towns of Durham & Middlefield. We also proudly administer the Gatekeeper statewide program with support from DMHAS and the Middlesex United Way.
