Today, Sid and Matt Slatter run Slatter Construction the company founded by Vann and Christine Slatter in 1984. They each worked their way up from the yard and became foreman on commercial and residential jobs all over Santa Cruz County. Working with Slatter you'll get to know them well-Sid, president of the company, is an active presence on job sites, and Matt puts his experience to work doing estimates and budgets.



From the outset, the concept behind Slatter Construction was to do all kinds of projects and do them well. To do construction correctly it's important to find the best people, train them well and keep them working. That's why we do commercial jobs, residential work, tenant improvements and remodels. There is always work to do-we've done everything from gutting Neptune's Kingdom at the Boardwalk, and adding a basement at sea level, to hanging screen doors.





Uniquely, Slatter is a licensed engineering contractor and a licensed general building contractor. It allows us to do a wider breadth of projects and it saves our clients money. We subcontract less of the major work, which results in a much more efficient construction process, more flexibility and fewer mark-ups.



Slatter jobs run smoothly. Our construction crews have a wide breadth of construction experience and have worked together for many years. In that time we've come up against every sort of construction challenge, developed a solution and finished the project as promised. On site work experience is a significant advantage in bidding jobs and pre-construction. We anticipate issues and delve in to the details before the job begins to ensure that our estimates are accurate and minimize change orders.
