The Park family has provided transportation services in the Oil & Gas industry, hauling oil country tubular goods (OCTG), since 1966. Big Mac trucking was the Park families’ first venture in the transportation industry. Owner, Don Park, successfully created an empire, quickly gaining recognition for the company’s consistent performance, industry knowledge, competitive freight rates, and safety record.

In 1982, after completing college at Stephen F. Austin earning a business degree, King Park decided to engage in his father’s business. Eager to learn the exciting and challenging transportation industry, King and his father grew their fleet managing over 80 company drivers, with the authority to haul in 48 states.

Big Mac specialized in hauling general commodities, including tubular goods, pipe, oil field equipment, steel, machinery, coils, casing and line pipe.

After many successful years in the transportation industry, Don decided to work part time. King continued to manage the operations and grew the company’s customer base. After a successful 22 years of managing Big Mac and the economic challenges, King decided to sell Big Mac Trucking.

In May of 2009, King felt the timing was right to get back in the transportation industry, operating under Park Ventures, Inc. (Incorporated in 1980). With his industry knowledge, stellar business reputation, and years of experience, King quickly grew Park Ventures.
