In 1973, Hy Blueweiss established OLI to provide furniture services to his own architectural firm, his corporate clients, and the architectural community at large. By 1976, the company was concentrating its efforts in this field, and the sale and service of contract furniture became his exclusive focus. From the beginning, OLI has demonstrated a commitment to personal, hands-on service that has remained the company's hallmark. Over the years, principals Bruce Blueweiss and Karen Blueweiss have continued to provide innovative, individualized service to a steadily growing roster of corporate clients, while offering a range of resources to the architectural and design community.

WE ARE INTRODUCING A NEW PRODUCT CALLED LIFE:
Currently available for order through OLI is Knoll's new Life task chair. Light, intuitive, flexible and environmental, Life is the latest addition to the company's growing seating collection.
Life tailors itself to the individual. In appearance and function, the natural body weight acts as a counterbalance as the person reclines, providing just the right amount of tension, keeping the body in constant equilibrium. Life is mercurial — with innumerable upholstery options and finish choices it complements any workplace, from the most traditional to the cutting edge — effortlessly.
Life does not dominate the space; it enhances and accents it. Spirited textile options, created especially for this chair by KnollTextiles creative director, Suzanne Tick, complement the individual or the design of the space and offer more choices to designers than other office chairs.
Life is luminescent. Only a minimum of materials have been used in its construction, and its graceful, sculptural effect belies its durability and precision. The thin profile accentuates the curves of the chair, and the translucent castersand lumbar support, coupled with aluminum finishes, contribute to its radiance.
The movement of this organic chair is fluid and natural. Life promotes flexibility and responds intuitively to the individual's every move. There is no struggle with knobs or complex levers. By simply shifting one's weight, Life responds, naturally and effortlessly.
Environmentally friendly, Life was designed and manufactured using the three "Rs" — Reduce, Re-use and Recycle. Life is made of durable finishes and materials, and designed for simple refurbishing over time, with a high-recycled content that helps customers meet the U.S. Green Building Council's LEED requirements.
