Technology

Our companies provide the "best of breed" technologies, as they become commercially available, including high quality equipment from major suppliers including Motorola, ESI, Eventide, Kenwood, TX/RX, RAD, Bridgewave, Andrews, Zetron and others.

System Design

Perform on-site needs analysis; determine customer requirements and appropriate solutions. Translate requirements into a clearly defined list of materials and services to be provided.

System Implementation

Contract to provide all necessary materials and labor to implement a completely operational system.

After Market Maintenance

Provide full service maintenance for complex systems on contract or on demand. Our companies maintain a full time staff of personnel and fully equipped service vehicles to guarantee prompt response in the service area on a twenty-four hour, seven-day basis.

Proof of Performance Testing

Our companies will provide personnel, electronic measuring equipment, vehicles and other necessary professional services to perform system operational tests. This includes measuring all specified parameters, operational evaluation and formal certification.

Regulatory

Our companies will arrange for numerous regulatory authorizations necessary to implement and commission an operating system. We retain a full service regulatory focused legal firm in Washington, DC to handle FCC matters.

Management Team


Dale L. Petrovitch,
President & CEO
Dale possesses over twenty-five years of solid two-way radio business experience. He has been active in the business for over twenty years and manages the day-to-day operations on a highly interactive basis. Dale serves as the president and chief executive officer for the companies and also oversees specific project coordination.


Richard Anderson,
Sales Manager
Rick has worked in the wireless telecommunications business for over 30 years in both sales and management. He manages the day to day sales operations for both Metropolitan Communications and Radio Communications Service. Rick has extensive experience in wireless communications system sales and system design for both Public Safety and Commercial applications. These include Radio, Paging, Wireless Broadband Data Systems, Emergency 911 and Commercial Telephone systems. Rick has over 20 years of project management and sales management experience and holds certifications from Motorola, Kenwood, Zetron, EF Johnson, Bridgewave Communications, and ESI.


Richard Gunia
Service Manager
Rich started as a technician with Radio Communications in 1976 and has been at Metropolitan since January, 1981 serving in his current position. He is involved in the daily operations ensuring timely service to our customers and ensuring the technical group is equipped with the latest technology. He also assists the installation departments with their technical issues and assists with some in house sales.


Senior Sales Consultants


John Jannett
John has over 15 years experience in two-way communications. With his knowledge and technical certifications he possesses a strong background in the design, sales and project management of two-way radio, Public Safety telephony, wireless data, microwave and paging systems for First Responders, municipalities and commercial businesses. He is factory certified by Alcatel-Lucent, Plant CML, Motorola, Zetron, Kenwood and Estech-ESI, His product experience covers the whole spectrum of two-way and wireless voice and data systems.


Ron Simpson
Ron has over 5 years of sales experience. He is a Motorola Certified Radio Communications Representative. Ron possesses strong product knowledge of Motorola, Kenwood and Zetron two-way wireless communications, as well as Callboxes and Amplification systems.


Key Technical Team

John Higgins
Lead Technician
John Higgins graduated with honors, from Philadelphia Wireless Technical Institute after attending a comprehensive 2 year electronics course. Then entered the United States Air Force where he received additional electronics training on microwave relay and communications equipment. John was hired by Radio Communications Service, Inc in 1974 after completion of 4 years active duty with the United States Air Force. Currently employed with Radio Communications Service he is responsible for field service of Public Safety Communications Systems and supporting infrastructure equipment for several agencies. He currently manages the maintenance of the Delaware County, PA 911 radio system consisting of a 21 site, 32 channel, 500 Mhz Simulcast and conventional systems for Police, Fire and EMS. Also included are a 4 site Motorola Mobile Data System, 8 site Simulcast Digital Paging System, 7 site Microwave Radio System and 17 ACOM console positions located at the 911 dispatch center. Additional duties and responsibilities include, design and testing of private radio systems, wireless data systems, Radio Frequency propagation studies, technical training, system documentation and review of maintenance performed on other private and public safety communications systems . In order to keep current on products and technologies continued education is required in the areas of Wireless RF, Microwave Radio, SCADA, and Network Data system technologies. These include computers, networking and several manufacturers? equipment product lines. John holds a General Radio Telephone Operator License, with ship radar endorsement and is an ETA Certified Electronics Technician.

Bob Hughes
Bob Hughes heads up our Telecommunications Division. He has over thirty-eight years experience in telecommunications with the past eight years focused on Emergency 9-1-1 Center communication needs. Bob also held various management positions with Bell/Verizon for 12 years. He has a Bachelor of Science degree in Business Management, from Rosemont College and graduate studies with Liberty University, Lynchburg, Virginia. He is certified by Nortel Systems for the Merdian-1 PBX and Symposium as well as Plant/CML Inc. for MAARS, VESTA/M-1 Call Center software, and Magic, a management information system (MIS). He is experienced with Mercom digital recording systems, Cisco routers, Windows Server operating systems, Windows XP software, Microsoft Office and database management.

Scott Chandler,
Systems Design & Engineer
Began employment with Radio Communications in 1979 while attending classes in a course of study for an Associate?s Degree in Electronic Engineering Technologies. Graduated with honors in December 1979 and became a full time employee of Radio Communications. While employed for RCS was responsible for field service of Public Safety communications systems.
