Company Summary

Los Angeles Helicopters operates from our purpose designed facility at Long Beach airport (KLGB). Co-located with our hangar facilities are our administration offices and training center. Our classrooms are well appointed with the latest computers and projection, allowing video and slideshow presentations. Having a maintenance facility on site students also have access to aircraft parts and to view aircraft undergoing repair. We find this to be very advantageous when learning about aircraft systems and gaining a better understanding of helicopters.

We operate a large ramp area with an ample amount of helicopter pads. This allows multiple simultaneous aircraft operations without undue delays. LA Helicopters also operates its own fuelling vehicles, which maximizes a students time (at other flight schools you often have to wait for fuel from airport based fuelling companies).

Operating in what is known as Class D airspace, Long Beach is a busy towered airport with a high volume of general aviation and commercial traffic. Students quickly become familiar and at ease with radio communications and operating in busy areas, building confidence and flying abilities. The LA Basin area also offers a wide range of airports for students to fly to, once again building valuable skills and adding variety to their flight training program.
