Liuzza Produce Farm spans four generations of producing quality produce and serving the market with old-fashion caring custom service.
Currently we raise 1.5 million strawberry plants and altogether that is almost half of the strawberries produced in Louisiana. We put the retailer first by producing high quality products that local customers are proud to purchase. We understand the unique challenges and demands of retailers because we own a retail business-Berry Town Produce of Hammond, LA.
Our continuous growth has allowed us to ship products all over Louisiana and throughout the Gulf Region. Both small and large retailers purchase our produce. Approximately 95, 000 trays of strawberries are produced on 90 acres of land for distribution to Wal-Mart stores.
Luizza Produce Farm is owned and operated by Anthony and Lucinda Liuzza, their two sons, Joey and Kevin, and Kevin's wife, Elizabeth. Anthony is a third generation farmer who continues to farm some of the same ground his great grandfather farmed years ago. Commitment to preserving the land and passing along solid values and business practices are a testament to why we have persisted through the years and provided quality produce and outstanding customer service. Serving Quality for four generations. Anthony joined his father in the produce business shortly after graduating from high school in 1975. The partnership was incorporated in 1980. Kevin, a fourth generation farmer and the farm manager, began his career during high school with sixty acres of his grandfather's land. Anthony has seen the business grow from a small family farm into a corporation that utilizes over 400 acres of land to produce more than 500, 000 packages of fresh produce annually.
We have grown through the use of proven, old-fashioned business practices such as catering to the local retailers by producing a high quality product that local consumers are proud to purchase. Most important, we stand behind our products once they are delivered to stores ad warehouses all over Louisiana and the Gulf Coast region.
