Our founder, Bill Lange started at the bottom in the trucking business in the 1960's with a small U.S. Mail contractor simply by doing just the basics....driving, doing repairs and dispatch. He branched out on his own to begin Lange Trucking in 1979 with only 1 Mail contract for 1 state, with just 4 trucks and 6 drivers, to make Lange what it is today...170 trucks, 200+ routes in 11 of the Western States, 300+ employees, 13 large United States Postal Mail contracts, and Truck Terminals in Oakland, Los Angeles, Sacramento and Eugene, Oregon.



From the very beginning, we have run Lange Trucking as a family business not only committed to excellence in providing quality service, with a high degree of professionalism and strong business ethics, but to genuine caring and appreciation for our clients and employees. We still have 6 original drivers with us since we began in 1979. Twelve drivers have been with us for over 20 years, 20 drivers for over 15 years, and 30 drivers for over 10 years. We are growing fast...over the last year we added 75+ trucks and 125+ drivers.



We have installed the latest in Global Positioning Systems (GPS ) equipment in most of our rigs...All of our four Terminals and key staffing are linked together on the same Lange Computer Network which is accessible both wired and wirelessly in the office and on the road. We have been awarded the Eagle Spirit Award for excellence 7 times by the U.S. Postmaster and we have received numerous safety awards by our Insurance Companies.



We have 150+ drivers who have received Safe Driving awards after multiple years of safe driving.
