The John M. Hartel Company was started in 1948 by John Hartel. From its conception, the company has devoted itself to servicing the needs of the contractor trade. Several years later his son, Fred Hartel, took over the reins of the company. He expanded from our initial base of commercial and industrial accounts to include the growing residential new housing market. Fred's two sons, Michael and Thomas, joined the company in the 1970's and brought their respective talents to the table. Now with the 4th generation of Hartels involved, the company is continuing to expand while remaining focused on our goal of providing superior service and knowledge to the contractor trades.
