Letter from the President

On behalf of our board of directors, physicians and employees, it is a privilege to welcome you to Jefferson Regional Medical Center.

Jefferson Regional is dedicated to serving you at our Jefferson Hills campus and at several convenient outpatient centers in Bethel Park, Pleasant Hills, Brentwood, Clairton, Baldwin, Homestead, Squirrel Hill, Belle Vernon, Charleroi and Uniontown.

We are proud that nearly every room in our 370-bed award-winning hospital is private, affording patients improved comfort in an atmosphere conducive to healing. At our hospital, nearly 400 physicians provide our patients with their expertise in more than 40 specialties. We also offer Spiritual Care as well as comprehensive Behavioral Health Services for our patients.

Our main location includes comprehensive inpatient and outpatient surgical services, as well as The Heart Institute, The Radiation Oncology Center, The Joint Care Center, The Women’s Diagnostic Center, The Sleep Disorder Center and Physical Therapy.

A $17.5 million surgical suite construction project currently is underway that will feature a state-of-the-art, minimally-invasive, peripheral vascular suite and minimally-invasive suites for orthopedics and general surgery. With its cardiovascular suites, catheterization and electro-physiology labs already in place, Jefferson Regional will be the most modern healthcare facility in the region.

Our hospital also offers comprehensive Emergency Services, including stroke telemedicine capabilities, and Quick CareSM, a dedicated area providing fast service for minor illnesses and injuries, backed by our board-certified emergency physicians.

Jefferson Regional Medical Center has been named “One of America’s 100 Best Hospitals for Cardiac Surgery,” according to the latest national study by HealthGrades®, a leading independent healthcare rat­ings organization. Nearly 4,000 open-heart procedures and more than 21,000 cardiac catheterizations have been performed at our Heart Institute. Since it opened less than 10 years ago, The Heart Institute at Jefferson Regional Medical Center has received top national and professional awards that under­score its success with complex cardiac surgical procedures.

The HealthGrades study also recognized Jefferson Regional as “Five-star rated for treatment of stroke for the fifth consecutive year.” Achieving the five-star rating for five years in a row is a prestigious distinction affirming our commitment to quality and compassionate care that exceeds our patients’ expectations.
