iMMAP, an humanitarian organization, coordinates efforts to combine information management, sociology and Geographic Information Systems technology to address the needs of disaster management and development partners. iMMAP leads the way toward the effective use of information management practices and principles in service to the world's most vulnerable populations. Enhanced approaches and new solutions are required to address a range of problems challenging humanitarian responders in disaster risk reduction and management. IMMAP's mission is to be the first port of call for Information and Knowledge Management expertise within the humanitarian community. iMMAP aims to alleviate the suffering of victims of natural and man-made disasters by providing decision-support services to national and international authorities and humanitarian agencies through the management of reliable, timely and appropriate strategic and geographic information.
iMMAP accomplishes it's mission by creatively combining operational and field experience, information technology and the social sciences. iMMAP provides unparalleled expertise in:
