Holland & Sons Inc. was established in Mendota in 1985 and owned by Gary, Todd, Ty, and Troy Holland. Three years later in 1988 they added another dealership in Princeton; they then acquired a third location in purchasing a location in Dixon in 1994. In 2007 Holland & Sons Inc. merged with Dale and Roger Goodrich, owners of Goodrich Equipment in Geneseo. In November of 2009 a fifth dealership was added in Freeport, IL. Murphy & Gustafson Inc. had served northwest Illinois and the surrounding area since 1946.

Holland & Sons Inc. will continue this tradition as well as having Andrew Gustafson serve as the store manager in Freeport. With the new addition of Freeport, the store will be able to offer dealership customers and employees more support resources, including customer support personnel, emergency parts, and larger product availability from all five locations, said owner Todd Holland. Between the five dealerships Holland & Sons Inc. employs over 110 full and part time employees. Holland’s is a six time winner of the John Deere prestigious Manager’s Club award. They are dedicated to achieving customer loyalty by providing and supporting a full line of John Deere products.
