Since 1983 DK Turbines (formerly OK Turbines) has been providing quality, cost effective support for the General Electric CJ610 and CF700 series engines. From the beginning, we have been a leader in Engine sales, Repair and Overhaul, Parts Support and Leasing. We have the largest inventory of CJ610/CF700 Parts and Engines in the world and plan on continuing to provide quality support for years to come.
In 1985, we added the TPE-331 series engines and continue to provide extensive parts and maintenance support for this series. At this same time, we started adding rotable components for the Lear and Falcon to better support our customers.
1986 saw further diversification when we started providing parts support for the TFE-731 series engines.
During 1993, Kalitta Charters of Ypsilanti Michigan purchased the company and retained ownership until the Kalitta companies were merged with Kittyhawk Charters in 1997. During this period, we continued to expand our Airframe spares inventory for the Learjet and Falcon. The TFE-731 product line was expanded with the purchase of additional engines to dismantle for parts, and the TPE-331 engine product line also saw significant growth.
Kittyhawk Charters owned the company from 1997 until it was sold to Doug Kalitta in December of 2001. Doug also owns Kalitta Charters, so naturally we continued to focus on expanding our Learjet and Falcon 20 parts inventory to not only support DK Turbines growth, but help support the Charter companies maintenance requirements.
Since 2001, we have continued to invest heavily in Learjet and Falcon parts, including the 2002 purchase of the Reliant Airlines Falcon 20 inventory.
Today DK Turbines, LLC still has the largest G.E. CJ610/CF700 Engine and spares inventory in the world, but we also now have one of the top Falcon 20 and Learjet airframe parts inventories in the world.
