Colony designs, manufactures and delivers fixtures and point-of-sale products for many of the leading national retail chains in the US. From its five manufacturing facilities in suburban Chicago, Colony designers and engineers create eye appealing and highly functional retail fixtures of wood, metal, laminates, veneers and glass. Colony's extraordinary growth is owed to innovative design, highly skilled personnel in every department, high volume, and attention to the small details at every step. Colony prides itself on fixtures that are safe, contemporary, durable and easy to use.

Colony offers its customers a complete portfolio of services from one of the most experienced and dedicated teams of professionals in the retail fixture industry. The heart of our company is the engineering department which is staffed with mechanical engineers, all with BSME degrees from major universities. In the graphics area we have a very talented group of graphic designers, all armed with the very latest in AutoCad, 3D, SolidWorks, and every other pertinent software program. Dedicated engineering/graphics/customer service teams are assigned to every customer project. They are all linked with a common thread known as JobBoss, a unique manufacturing software that runs the entire operation from quoting to accounting.
Everything comes together in one or more of our manufacturing facilities. Our 300,000 sq ft plant in Elgin, IL specializes in metal products. Our 160,000 sq ft plant in St Charles, IL, with 16 docks and the latest in CNC turns out a wide variety of wood and mixed material fixtures. All assembly and fulfillment is handled at our facility in Elgin, IL. Colony offers its customers a full range of custom and standard logistical services.

What's New

At any given time, there are a number of new displays under development at Colony. Our design team may be working on color concepts for a rollout kiosk made of cherry wood and metal or a seasonal hanging display to be constructed of wood, metal and glass. Colony engineers are responsible for detailed mechanical drawings, prototypes and product testing for safety, performance and durability. Different concepts are tested for any given display to make certain that the best solutions have been investigated leading up to the final product.
