VTS Systems is a North American software company, whose mission is to provide products and services of exceptional quality and value for the vehicle towing and wrecker industry. Our client business model is focused on effectively managing the productivity and profitability of those involved with the dispatch, towing, and storage lot management of motor vehicles. Our clients are privately owned wrecker companies, vehicle storage facilities and cities involved in traffic incident management. VTS Systems, (a division of Collision Management USA LP) has assumed the mantle of software development and distribution. Collision Management and VTS Systems are small well structured companies whose partners and employees are passionate about customer satisfaction and the simplified use of leading edge communication technologies to enhance client profitability and product quality. Our software is written in Texas, and our sales, training and technical support team lives in the United States and Canada. The quality and reliability of our product allows us to offer exceptional one-on-one customer support when needed.
Chris Hulsey our chief technical officer and software guru began developing Vehicle Tracking System 2000 (VTS) in 1996 and over more than a decade of development, it has evolved into VTS Lite and VTS Classic. In the beginning our distribution was limited to the City of Houston and East Texas, but as our client base grew along with computer and communications technology and the Internet, so did our reputation for excellence. Today, more than 120 towing and storage lot companies within metropolitan Houston, and several hundreds more throughout the United States and Canada rely on VTS Systems and VTS products to support their daily business operations.
Our goal today remains the same as when we began. "To earn our clients trust and provide them with a quality product of exceptional reliability, value, and the support they deserve."
Keeping a product "current" is always a challenge, but a challenge that VTS Systems readily accepts. Every wrecker company knows that our industry is undergoing rapid technological and legislated changes, and for many of you, this is of grave concern. Every two years or so, your state or provincial government passes new legislative statutes that frequently impact the towing or storage lot industry, our goal is to work with our clients, state and provincial towing associations and legislative bodies to identify and implement these legislated changes into the software and through the use of the latest computer and communications technology, and automation, reduce the impact on the average towing company.
In 2007 we began offering VTS Lite, a simplified version of VTS Classic, specifically designed to meet the needs of the small family-owned towing and or storage lot business. Recently we have expanded our original automated MVR process to include multi-state access, currently we offer some 22 states online, and expect to have 31 states by July, 2011. More will follow! Canada unfortunately has privacy laws that prohibit tow company access to information, but we are working on a possible solution. Moreover, we have collaborated with Auto Data Direct and integrated their DirectPost Office (DPO) to provide a fully automated certified mail service, No more going to the Post Office. VTS Systems has also moved in the opposite direction scaling VTS Classic to meet the needs of larger companies who operate from multiple locations across state lines, and under multiple trading names. In addition, to accommodate those with special needs we've added optional modules to complement the standard edition of VTS Classic: Classic Heavy Duty, Classic/QuickBooks, Classic Auction Package, and our newest module Classic Incident Management. More information on these optional modules can be viewed on another page.
