Davis Contracting was started in 1986 by Craig Davis as Davis Roofing, Heating, and AC, with offices in the family home in rural Ford City Pennsylvania. The company changed its name to Davis Contracting in 1988 and mainly specialized in residential roofing and remodeling. In December of 1996, Davis Contracting became an authorized Duro-Last contractor with Duro-Last Roofing, Inc. in Saginaw Michigan.

Davis Contracting employs 12 people on a regular basis, installing the Duro-Last Roofing System mainly on commercial buildings. Two full time carpenters are on staff for remodeling and shingle roofing in the residential market.

Since becoming a Duro-Last Contractor, Davis Contracting is a pioneer in achieving the master contractor status in 1997, a title in which he still holds to this day. The Master Elite Contractor status was achieved in 2003 and maintained to date. In 2004, Davis Contracting became a member of the General's Club, one of the highest awards bestowed upon its contractors by Duro-Last Roofing, Inc.
