.Who We Are
Aelux was founded in 2005 by Skip Pasternak, an energy finance professional with a keen interest in demand side management and energy conservation. His vision was simple: to create an organization within the lighting conservation market that excelled in analysis, process, and professionalism. In 2007, he successfully coaxed his father Bart, the former EVP from Westinghouse Lighting, out of retirement and back into a role that he relished: identifying the latest in energy efficient lighting and controls technology, and tirelessly working with OEMs to ensure the best possible pricing. This combined force has enabled Aelux to grow into a national presence, with a best-in-class staff including seasoned project managers, certified Lighting Consultants, LEED accredited professionals, and a deep core of dedicated and passionate energy conservation specialists.

Aelux is now regarded as one of the premier lighting design/build firms in the United States. Our consultative approach is centered on understanding our clients objectives first and foremost, and then offering a suite of recommendations based on first cost, maximum ROI, optimal efficiency, and various other considerations. We are not tied to any one manufacturer or technology, allowing us to find the right custom solution for each client.
